April 10, 2010
Charlotte, NC — For the second consecutive year, MacNeil Homes, LLC received the Best Custom Home Gold Award at Saturday night’s 25th annual Major Achievements in Marketing Excellence (MAME) awards. This year’s entry, targeting the $500k to $750k price point, comes from MacNeil’s Bailey Springs neighborhood, located in Davidson. The home’s design is a collaboration among company executives and well-known area architect, Chris Boush of New Traditions Home Planning.
“Exterior elements show influences from Old English architecture, paired with a floor plan emphasizing family focused living and entertaining, both inside and out,” says Chief Executive, Anita MacNeil
According to head sales agent, Robert Roach, “People love the fact that a woman is behind all of our designs. They notice the attention to detail not only in how the floor plan flows but in all aspects of the design and construction process.”
MacNeil Homes was formed in 2006 by local home building veteran, Anita MacNeil. She was joined shortly thereafter by Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Barbara Broadway and Vice President of Construction, Rick Lauer. Dwight Marshall, a long-time fixture in the area home building arena also partners with MacNeil on select projects. The company builds and remodels custom and semi-custom homes in the $400 and up price point. In addition to Davidson and various area custom sites, the company was selected as an approved builder in the Sanctuary and Chapel Cove neighborhoods and has a large presence in Weddington’s Highgate neighborhood, location of last years award winning model home and site of the 2009 Luxury Home Tour sponsored by the Charlotte Chapter of the Homebuilder’s Association.
